When you think of a “sled dog,” you probably think of a Siberian Husky. With good reason – the Huskies did an amazing job pulling the sled.

They once saved an entire city in Alaska – a team of fearless adventurers brought diphtheria medication during an outbreak. This story is also known under the name Togo – The Husky

Their extremely thick coats allow them to withstand extreme cold and amazingly, these dogs can even change their metabolism, allowing them to go long distances without fatigue or to use up their fat stores.
